Fantastic for my studio. - Rachel
Quiet. Much quieter than any of us expected. Such a GREAT treadmill for the money. We bought this one because it was suggested by a consumer website, and we didn't want to sink a lot of money in a treadmill until we were sure we were going to use it. So glad we went with this one. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fan. The audio port and speakers are a big hit as well. The only negative thing is that when you turn it on, the volume seems to be at max, which can wake you up in a hurry as it beeps to life. - Joseph P. Reves
Very quiet and smooth. I can turn the sound bar down 10 notches compared to our old one. Very flexible ways to set up the workout. One gripe is no memory on the unit so every time you punch it all in from factory reset. Some memory could also store a cool down setting. Fan is not helpful. - Mark and Chrystle
I really like this treadmill with all the bells and whistles and not a huge price tag. only had it 3 weeks, so I can't say a lot about durability etc.the box was really heavy, but I managed to unpack it and all was there. putting it together would be easier with 2 people, but I did that myself too. it was only a matter of some screws and bolts and the tools were included to do it. once together, it was fun playing around with the features. I'm only a slow walker, 2-3 mph for now, but with the incline feature it feels like a good walk. love the fact I can plug my MP3 player in and can have music while walking. like advertised, it is "whisper quiet." feels good walking with good sneakers on. there are so many different exercise modes to use. like the "steps" mode, since everyone is into the 10,000 steps a day!! fan will be good in the hotter months. my tablet fits in one of the two compartments so I can use that while walking. I've already recommended it to my sister in the Midwest! - oew
This is a great treadmill, probably on par with the treadmills we've used in health clubs. It's solidly built, runs smoothly, and has plenty of features, including power incline adjustment, nice built-in speakers, ample on-console storage, and more. However, there are some things we wish we had known before buying, and some aspects of the unit that aren't so obvious. Here's what we learned:
- The assembly process itself is very easy. There are only a few parts, and while you'll need two people so that one can hold the heavy parts in place, it shouldn't take you too long to put together.
- The built-in speakers work great, but we found that you have to turn your iPod to the maximum volume level in order for the treadmill's speakers and volume adjustment to function. Just don't forget to turn the volume back down before you use earphones again!
- The unit is incredibly heavy, and even with two strong adults, we couldn't get it to "roll" as the user guide suggests.
- There are several stickers attached from the factory. The ones at the end of the running belt came off easily. However, there was also a big sticker on the front, right above the blue "Horizon" logo, which advertises the quality of the motor or something along those lines. That sticker left the worst glue residue we have ever seen, and removing it took several hours. If we were buying this product again, we definitely wouldn't try removing that big sticker.
Overall, the Horizon T101 is an excellent piece of fitness equipment, and if you go into it with the caveats above in mind, you'll probably be very pleased with the product. - Nina
